Yesterday I did laundry by hand. Our apartment has no clothes washer. It takes a long time and I am sure I don't do as good of a job as a machine would do. If we don't wring out the clothes well they take a long time to dry in the sun! This morning we had to take a bus to the grocery store. I understand why people go to the store often. You have to carry the bags a ways to get home. Thankfully we have a little store close by so we can get some things.
We are doing better with getting around here. Our facilitator has to leave soon to go back to Kiev to submit more documents at the adoption center for us. We have to learn which busses go where. We will also be on our own in communicating with Oleg. We better get used to that. We are trying to teach him 5 new English words each day. He is doing well. We are also trying to learn a little Russian. Darwin is still doing better than I am.
Tomorrow we might go sightseeing. We will post pictures.
What about 2 boys??! Almost the same as 2 girls!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds nice...two boys??
ReplyDeleteThe way it works here is that we get a referral for a child or siblings. Two non siblings require 2 referrals, and we are now on our last one with Oleg. Viktor and another boy Anton here would like to come to a family. Anton will soon be 16 and fall out of the system. Viktor has about 9 months before he is 16. Anyone wanting to adopt a boy would do well by starting in Kerch.
ReplyDeleteOleg is excited about having parents to himself. He wants to be an only child. With the referral situation we can't adopt more than one anyways.
