Another disappointment. I can understand her hesitation. She is 15. Going to America is scary. I feel sorry for her because she would have a loving home and more opportunities. Now what? We know of a boy named Oleg. He is 14 years old. We heard about him at the adoption center. He keeps asking for a family to adopt him. The facilitator who works in this area is going to go visit him to make sure he really wants to be adopted.
This has been quite a time! Ups and downs! We do know that God is with us. We don't know what He is doing but we do know that He has good plans for us. His plan might involve Leg, or it might not. We will trust God and walk with Him through it.
Thanks for going on this journey with us.
It is disappointing but obviously up to now it was not what God has planned for you. His plan is best.
ReplyDeleteWould you be able to adopt a child who is a bit younger? Perhaps the age factor is a decisive factor that is influencing these children or rather young adults from deciding to not be adopted and move to the United States. Either way you both are in our prayers and God has a plan, so be patient and let Him lead the way.

I'm so sorry, Pat. Do you want to adopt me? :) You are a fun, kind and considerate person...and I'm ready to run away from home.
ReplyDeleteI am soo sorry you two where disappointed again but please don't get discouraged. If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans lol He must have a different plan for you two. Maybe it is a little younger child or maybe it is a boy. Whatever it is it will work out the way it should He wouldn't take you both this far for nothing!! Prayers are with you and can't wait to hear what your plan is.
ReplyDeleteI hope something will work out with Oleg. It might be easier to have a boy than a girl. We missed you at our monthly lunch time. The girls celebrated my birthday and Michele's. It was fun! Praying for you!
